| HOLOCAUST The Nightcomers (EDGY106)
The Nightcomers was originally out in 1980 & influenced metal acts on both sides of the Atlantic at the height of the NWOBHM. To this day, the band have high profile fans: no less than 4 high profile acts have covered tracks from this album: Metallica covered The Small Hours on their Garage Days EP in 1987; their Garage Inc. album in ’98 & live on their Whiskey In The Jar single in 1999. Gamma Ray covered Heavy Metal Mania on 3 separate releases in the mid 90s, Six Feet Under covered Death Or Glory on their 1997 Warpath album on Metal Blade &, finally, The Meat Puppets covered The Small Hours on their Live album for Rykodisc. The album includes the band’s 3 track Heavy Metal Mania 12” single from 1981 as bonus tracks. |
